<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article describes a clinical case of inhalation therapy with high doses of nitric oxide (NO) in a comorbid patient with a severe course of COVID-19. An air stream containing NO was generated using the PLAZON device. High-dose NO inhalation therapy was administered as a life-saving option due to the lack of effect from treatment delivered in accordance with the current national clinical guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19. The safety and clinical efficacy of the technique was demonstrated.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>терапия оксидом азота</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>«ПЛАЗОН»</kwd><kwd>коморбидность</kwd><kwd>кардиология</kwd><kwd>пневмония</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Nitric oxide therapy</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>PLAZON</kwd><kwd>comorbidity</kwd><kwd>cardiology</kwd><kwd>pneumonia</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ichinose F., Roberts J.D.
